The interests and policies of the president of Japan and Russia are represented by the Japanese Consulate General in St. Petersburg, headed by the ambassador. The Japanese Consulate General in St. Petersburg preserve and protect the relationship, and be a point of contact between Japan and Russia. The Japan Embassy has officers for economic, management, political, public diplomacy and consular roles.
