A Russia eVisa can be obtained within four calendar days starting from the date you submitted the completed application form. It is important to note that there is no need to provide any documental evidence to confirm the purpose of your journey, such as invitation letter or hotel booking confirmation. The entire process of applying for an eVisa Russia takes just 20 minutes if you have all the required documents ready, and the visa processing will start immediately.
What is Russia eVisa Validity Period?
Remember that it is a single-entry visa and is only issued for 30 calendar days starting from the date of visa issuance. With an e-Visa, you can stay in the Russian Federation for up to 8 days starting from the date you entered the country. The validity period for an e-Visa cannot be extended except for those rare cases when the visitor can’t leave the Russian Federation territory, such as natural hazards, medical emergency, or force-majeure scenarios.
With an e-Visa, the permitted period of staying in the Russian Federation is up to 8 days but this does not mean that the visitor will stay for 192 hours (24x8) because the day of entry and exit will be counted as two days.
