Russia eVisa - What you Need to Know?
Your passport must indicate full date of birth, that is, the date, month, and year of birth clearly. If the full date of birth is not specified in your original passport, your Russian eVisa application will not be accepted for processing. Remember that Russia eVisa is a single-entry visa issued for a period of 30-days. During this time you can stay in the selected region for a maximum of 8 calendar days.
You need to be very careful when traveling on an eVisa as there are certain restrictions imposed on travelers regarding their movement within the country. Such as, if you are staying in St. Petersburg and want to travel to Moscow you will need a Moscow visa for this purpose. There aren’t any active checkpoints between the two cities, but this doesn’t mean that you can travel freely.
If you try to travel to a location outside of the region you have obtained the eVisa for, you will break the Russian immigration law. It is suggested that you stay within the region of your Russia eVisa, and leave from that very destination.
Another important point to note is that the 8-day duration will not be calculated in hours. For instance, if your Russia visa is valid from 22 August 2020 to 23 September 2020, you can enter your desired region anytime within this duration. Regardless of the time of your entry, you must leave the country before the start of the 9th day; that is before 12:00 am midnight. Such as, if you have entered St. Petersburg on 25 August 2020 at 1:00 pm, you should be leaving the city on 1 September 2020 before 23:59 pm and not 1:00 am.
