Russia Expands e-Visa Access: Now Available at 105 Checkpoints

Russia has extended its e-Visa program by adding more border checkpoints, therefore increasing the total to 105 and facilitating travel and a boost of economic activity. By giving visitors from 64 qualified nations easy access, this project seeks to increase tourism, commerce, and foreign investment. Officially included into the e-Visa entry system on February 11, 2025, the Tashanta checkpoint in the Altai Republic is the most recent addition. Crucially for cross-border commerce and tourism, this road border crossing between Russia and Mongolia is a key addition to the e-Visa scheme.

  • Launch Date: Launched in the summer of 2023.
  • Purpose: Simplifies the process of obtaining a visa to enter Russia.

  • Scan of the passport's information page
  • Travel Information 
  • Additional Documentation: Additional documents, such as invitations, hotel bookings, or other documents, are needed to confirm the purpose of the trip.
  • Processing Time: No more than 11 days under standard processing. The rush processing option is also available for urgent applications. 
  • Eligible Countries: Available to citizens of 64 countries.
